LEAVE OF ABSENCE

    • Application for leave of absence should be sent to the Principal/Headmistress. The entry should be made in the Leave Record pages which are given towards the end of this diary, and the entry shall be duly signed by the Parents/Guardians.
    • Leave for religious ceremonies or special occasions must be obtained in advance.
    • The name of the pupil will be struck off from the School Records in case of unreported or unexplained absence for more than 10 consecutive days.
    • Applications for leave on medical grounds should be supported by an authentic medical certificate.
    • A student returning to school after recovering from a contagious or infectious disease must produce a doctor's certificate stating that he/she has completely recovered and that there is no danger of spreading the disease in question.
    • No leave of absence is sanctioned, or a pupil allowed to go away from school during school hours without a prior written application for leave from the guardian/parent.
    • Pupils who do not have at least 80% attendance may not be allowed to appear in the promotion examination.
    • Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline. A student who comes late to school shall not enter the class without the signature of the Principal/Headmistress in the regularity record.
    • Absence from class for marriage, feast, birthday celebrations, or reasons of study are strongly objected to. No leave of absence is given without a previous application for it, in writing from the parents/guardians.
    • Students should produce a leave note and obtain approval from the Principal/Headmistress before taking leave from the school.
